The sky from December 15, 2012 to January 15, 2013

Here is the sky from December 15, 2012 to January 15, 2013 and the signs that are most affected by the major transits of the planets.

From December 15 to 21, the Sun is in the third decade of Sagittarius, a mutable sign ruled by Jupiter, bringing luck and positivity also to the others born under fire signs (Aries and Leo). On 22 December, the day which should mark the beginning of a new cycle according to the Maya, the Sun enters Capricorn, a cardinal sign ruled by Saturn that is in a particularly positive phase, supporting also the others born under earth signs (Taurus and Virgo).

On December 15, the Moon is in Capricorn, that can count on many positive planets, while on January 15, 2013 the planet will be in the sensitive sign of Pisces

Mercury continues its transit in Sagittarius until December 31, accompanied by Venus in the last fire sign. The new year starts with Mercury in Capricorn, positively influencing the faculties of the intellect also of the others born under earth signs (Taurus and Virgo).

Venus entered Sagittarius in the middle of December, favouring the emotional and affective sphere also of the others born under fire signs (Aries and Leo) until January 9, 2013. The day after Venus enters Capricorn, bringing sweetness to this winter sign and to the others born under earth signs (Taurus and Virgo) for all the month of January.

Mars continues its transit in Capricorn, where it remains until December 26, to enter afterwards Aquarius. Great strength for this winter sign that can count also on the positive transit of its planet, Uranus, to achieve the most innovative goals. Lots of energy also for the others born under air signs (Gemini and Libra) for all the month of January.

Jupiter continues its transit in Gemini, where it remains until the end of June 2013, dispensing luck and prosperity to the others born under air signs (Libra and Aquarius). Jupiter in Gemini is very positive also for Aries and Leo. Jupiter is opposed for one year to Sagittarius and forms a square aspect with Virgo and Pisces

The transit of Saturn is very important: the planet joined at the beginning ofOctober  the sign of Scorpio, where it remains until the end of 2014, bringing concreteness also to the others born under water signs (Cancer and Pisces). Capricorn, sign ruled by Saturn, comes at a particularly positive phase.

The transits of the slow planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) do not undergo major changes, but only variations of degrees.

Read also the transit of Uranus in Aries, where it remains until 2019, bringing great opportunities and changes also to Leo and Sagittarius. The sign of Aquarius can count on the support of his planet, in a positive sextile for many years to achieve the most innovative goals.

Neptune is in his home, the sign of Pisces, until 2025, providing the intuitive capabilities of the water signs. Neptune is in opposition to the Virgo and forms a square aspect with Gemini and Sagittarius, but it is a slow planet and influences at the moment only the first decades of the mutable signs.

Complete the sky of the month, Pluto, which controls the internal energies that lead to changes and transformations. The planet continues its transit through Capricorn, where it remains until 2023, in positive sextile with Scorpio, the sign ruled by Pluto.

Best wishes to all the signs of the Zodiac!

In defence of mechanical engineering
Few things in life awaken our nostalgia for the past, but one of these is undoubtedly going back to the school where we spent our youth. This happened to me last winter, when I was invited to give a speech at the Technical Industrial Institute “Alberghetti” in Imola as part of the school’s 130 th anniversary celebrations. With conviction I offered “A defence of mechanical engineering", a topic th...
